Part of the Queensland Museum & Home to the National Carriage Collection
As well as Cobb & Co coaches, the local museum collection includes examples of a vast range of vehicles from the horse-drawn era, from farm wagons and delivery carts to the Rolls Royce of Carriages, the landau.
Extensive displays feature details on the natural and cultural history of Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.
There are many opportunities for people to learn a range of heritage trades and skills through the museum’s Hands On Workshops program, including blacksmithing, silversmithing, leadlighting and leatherwork. Curriculum-based educations programs for primary and secondary school are also offered.
