In January 2020, Highfields Pioneer Village acquired the iconic ‘Big Cow’ with it being transported from its former home on a dairy farm in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast. The hope of the Village is to restore the 8 metre high Ayrshire cow, with plans for a museum to honour the Darling Downs dairy industry.
